UM- ALYATEEM FOUNDATION (UMF) announces the start of project ((Initiative for civil & political empowerment of women in Iraq)) in 1Jan2014 funded by United Nations Fund for Democracy (UNDEF) . The project aims to increase the political participation of women at the rural and urban districts in 4 governorates (Baghdad, Basrah, Babil, Al-Muthana) in Iraq, in partnership of four Civil Society Organizations in each target governorate (Bent Alrafedain Organization , Women Leadership Institute , Iraqi Al-Firdaws Society , Sawa Organization for Human ) .The project target 400 women and 280 local male leaders and will achieve: raising awareness of women’s political participation through awareness workshops and dialogues; creating support mechanism (12 Women Support Groups) for women candidates and parliamentarians; enhancing capacity of women parliamentarians through monthly training by a newly established academy.

تعلن مؤسسة ام اليتيم عن بدء مشروعها (( مبادرة للتمكين المدني والسياسي للنساء في العراق)) في 1/1/2014 وبدعم من صندوق الامم المتحدة للديمقراطية (UNDEF) . يهدف المشروع الى زيادة المشاركة السياسية للنساء في الريف والحضر في (4) محافظات (بغداد , بابل, البصرة , المثنى) في العراق , بمشاركة 4 منظمات مجتمع مدني في المحافظات المستهدفة ( منظمة بنت الرافدين ,معهد القيادات النسائية , جمعية الفردوس العراقية , منظمة ساوة لحقوق الانسان).يستهدف المشروع (400) امرأة و (280) من القادة المحليين وسيتم تنفيذ (برنامج توعية للنساء حول المشاركة السياسية من خلال ورشات توعية وحوار , وضع آلية دعم (12 مجموعة دعم نسائية ) للنساء المرشحات والمنتخبات , تعزيز قدرات النساء البرلمانيات من خلال تدريب شهري في اكاديمية للتدريب السياسي حديثة التكوين.
