Women Candidates empowerment workshops
Under the initiative of civil & political empowerment for women in Iraq which funded by (UNDEF), UMF established two training workshops for women candidates from 4 governorates to the parliamentary elections which will take place in ( 30 – April) in the hall of Kahramana hotel in Baghdad between(20 Feb – 1 March ) . workshops targeted ( 80 ) candidates (20 candidates/ gov) were selected by sending official letters to all parties offices in each governorate , the training aims to prepare candidates by provide training on leadership skills and enhance their legal culture by identify all electoral systems and how to design their campaigns as well as support them to improve their media appearances by professional trainers.
Workshops attended by the coach Judge Qassim Al-Aboudy to train women candidates on the (electoral systems and legal culture) , while Saadoun Damad train them on (media and communication with voters skills ) , Dr Sundus Abbas provide training on (leadership skills) and Dr. Amira Albaldawi on (planning and managing of successful & low costs campaign) workshop also Hosted a women parliamentarians to offer their expertise, experience , challenges and success
